New release exclusive excerpt!

Hey y'all!

Packmate for Hire is out! It's the second Alpha Tales book, but it can stand alone, as well.

Evil Plot Bunny is here. That's a collective bookstore from some of us authors if you prefer to buy direct.

Brendan Gray has no idea why he stopped in at a tiny Colorado mountain town to have lunch. He's supposed to be in Wyoming, tracking wolves. The place called to him, though, and he figures out why when he realizes his old pack mate, Rand, is now an Alpha in the cutest little wolf pack ever. Then he meets Shon, who's also just passing through, and decides he might need to stay for a bit. especially since Rand seems willing to pay him to be a pack guardian.

Shon has a history of making bad decisions and is on the run from his most recent one when he meets Brendan. They're smoking hot together, but Shon wants to go slowly so they can get to know each other. He decides to hang around in Nowheresville for a while. and he hopes Brendan is staying for his benefit. Trouble follows Shon everywhere, though, and between that and Brendan's uncertainty about their relationship, they might just lose each other before they know what they have.

Leona says you’re in cabin 3. Be there at 2 to take you to lunch

Shon grinned at his phone. True to his word, Brendan had only texted last night and this morning. Last night he’d gotten a picture or two, nothing raunchy, and today he’d received, “Let’s do lunch.”

He’d sent back, “You buying?”

The notice of when he was being picked up was Brendan’s response, and Shon sniffed his pits. He had forty-five minutes to shower, and he needed it. Whoo.

Shon hopped in the shower, scrubbing up with the soap the owner had left. Very sage and sandalwood. He had to admit, the cabins were spotless, and the linens were soft. He would hang out here for a good bit if he needed to.

What a difference a day made. Yesterday, he’d found it impossible to be upbeat about anything. Today, Shon was ready to flirt. Maybe have a one or two-night stand. It could never be more than that, but Brendan was hot as hell and clearly into him, so why not play?

He dressed in jeans and white button-down shirt, a look he knew went well with his dark hair and warm skin tone. God, he was so queer.

Once he was ready, he texted Brendan. You can show up before 2 if you want

On my way

Now, that was gratifying. He would definitely be teasing. And inviting. And maybe giving out some. Maybe not. He had standards. Well, he did now, after his last break up, which was causing no end of grief. Okay, maybe he would pump the brakes a few times.

The knock on the door came maybe five minutes later, at fifteen minutes to two. Nice.

He opened the door, Brendan stepping through quickly.

“Here.” Brendan thrust a bouquet at him.

“I like carnations. Thank you.” He really did like them, with their cute, crinkly selves. They made him smile.

“Wooing, chapter one. Flowers. Check.”

“So romantic.” Shon found a big glass in the cupboard to put water and the flowers in.

“Hey, I’m a werewolf. I get most of my romance in bars at the end of the night.”

“Ew.” He winked back over one shoulder.

“I’m pickier than that.” Brendan was laughing, clearly not at all offended.

“Well, that’s good to know, since you practically jumped me in the restaurant.”

“Nah.” Brendan was pushing up behind him before he could even blink, hips against his ass, reaching around with one hand to press at his zipper placket. “This is all over you. That was nothing.”

“Oh.” He arched his back, his toes curling up. Brakes. Pumping. “That’s not allowed yet.”

“Bummer.” Brendan nipped at his neck, but then backed off. “Well, I don’t want to cross you on your rules.”

“Uh-huh. Just leave me with a hard on.”

“I can fix that.” One dark eyebrow rose. “But you keep telling me no.”

New Release! Midnight Rodeo: Belonging

Woo!

The sequel is finally here!

A few years back, Kiernan Kelly, BA Tortuga and I put out Midnight Rodeo's first book, Homecoming. We recently republished that book on our own, and now we have the sequel, Midnight Rodeo: Belonging.

Look at this cover by the amazing Kris Norris!

Strangely enough, I'm not responsible for the tiger shifter on the cover. That's BA Tortuga. I wrote a cheetah shifter and a spirit guided rodeo rider named Raven Walkingman.

You can buy it here at ARE and here at Amazon!

And here's a bit from my story, Light a Rocket. Special thanks to Jaymi for being our amazing editor.

“Rocket, you cannot keep this up, kid.” Thack, the head of all things in the arena, looked bitchy on the best of days, but the stock contractor was positively livid. The huge black horns curving over his head actually sort of pulsed. Cool. Terrifying, but cool.

“Keep what up?” Rocket went for innocent. It wasn’t his best look, but it was rare enough around these parts that he thought it could work.

“Kid, you weigh, what? Eighty pounds?”

“Stop it. I’m at least a buck and a ten-spot.” Pretty much.

“You can’t bulldog. You can’t do the timed events. Stop being a turd with a death wish. You rile up the stock.”

Rocket tried hard not to let his hurt show. Or his panic. He had to make some money. Had to. “I’m not trying to upset anyone. I’m bulking up, I promise.”

“Bulking… okay. Okay. You get one more chance, but the physics say it can’t work.”

“Physics say the girls can’t ride the barrels and they sure as shit do.”

“Mmm.” Thack was good at the noncommittal noise. “Well, just do me a favor and don’t get hurt.”

“Right. I’m on it. Totally.” Hell, he wasn’t sure his three broken ribs were ever going to recover. They did tend to stick out. Rocket was a cheetah shifter. Ribs were a thing.

“I’m serious. One more catastrophe on the timed events and I’m sending you to Eshelman.”

The shifter doc was… intense. Difficult, at best. Strict. Rocket just nodded, feeling like a bobble head doll.

He slunk passed the bullfighters, the scary as all fuck ghost riders, and then headed to his truck. He thought he was safely out of everyone’s way, which was naturally when he slammed right into a solid, lanky body.

“Whoa, kiddo. Watch where you’re putting those boots down.” Raven Walkingman caught his upper arms when he bounced.

“I. I—”

Oh, God. God. That was— He’d just bumped into…

Right. Breathe. “Sorry.”

That bronze face split into a wide, white smile, the king of the Midnight Rodeo not seeming at all put out. “No problem. Rocket, right?”

“Yeah. Yes, sir. Rocket Ugara.” He held out his hand, the urge to sniff this man overwhelming. He panted a tiny bit, his usual reaction to stress more than a little embarrassing.

Walkingman shook his hand, making shivers run up his arm and down his back. Hello.

His kitty purred inside him, its tail lashing, and he had the urge to do his best sexy dance. Rocket fought that compunction, but he couldn’t cover it completely, obviously. Walkingman’s nose quivered, and he grinned wider.

“You riding tomorrow?” Rocket asked. He had to stop being an idiot. You didn’t come onto the most famous cowboy in their world. It didn’t happen.

“I am. What about you?” Walkingman let him go, the lack of touch such a disappointment.

“Gotta make my pennies, so yeah. Totally.”

“Well, watch those ribs. I was you, I’d sit out the bulldogging this week.”

“Yeah. Thack was pretty clear about that.” Still, he needed to get enough cash for gas to make it to the next event and pay his entry fees.

“Then why are you still doing it?” The man sounded genuinely curious.

“Same reason every broke-dick cowboy does it, I reckon.” And didn’t he feel about two inches tall admitting that?

New release: An Alpha in Sheep's Clothing

Sing a song of accidental alphas and total bottom boys...

That would be An Alpha in Sheep's clothing. My first self pub that's not a reprint. Thanks to the amazing J for her very professional edit, to my betas and to Kris Norris for the awesome cover!

Which is here!

Here's the link to All Romance

And Amazon

Here's the official blurb!

Rand never sets out to find trouble. He’s a lone wolf and he likes it that way. Too bad he always seems to attract the kind of jerk who wants to start a fight, even in a tiny Colorado town where he stops to have a beer. What surprises him when he wins this fist fight, though, is what kind of perks come with the victory.

Tate knows he looks big and strong and that he ought to be able to overthrow the alpha of his tiny, damaged pack. Too bad he’s really more omega than alpha, or even beta, and all he wants it to be a strong wolf’s bottom boy. When the pack tells him about Rand, Tate thinks he might have found the solution to all of his problems. Now he just has to convince Rand to stay.

I'll post a sexy snippet later!
